LUYNES DUPLEX
A family nest, perched above Paris
Luynes Duplex
This Parisian duplex, which seems like a real house, is located on the top floor of a Haussmann building in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Within this urban haven, light becomes the watchword.
The challenge – and a significant one! - for the project’s interior designer was to link the many maids’ rooms to the reception floor, to house a blended family with six children. Hélène brought her expertise to the choice of materials and the colour design.
The result was a completely atypical and original project with a selection of materials that reflects the warm and authentic signature of the interior decorator.
Boldly capturing the site to metamorphose it into a cosy family cocoon
Here, the theme is a pure, warm aesthetic created with a selection of elegant and exclusive materials.
Stone and wood are embellished with a few very colourful touches that give the apartment a simultaneously contemporary and authentic note. The centrepiece is the majestic concrete staircase, whose austerity is set off by the Antoinette Poisson Chinese block-printed wallpaper in intense shades of vermilion.
The perspectives are skilfully enhanced by the transparency of door panels and the wine cellar, which separates the kitchen area from the dining area with a touch of indulgence.
In this unique living space, everything has its place within a beautiful harmony.
