MONTMORENCY
Light becomes an honoured guest
Montmorency
Five floors entirely gutted and emptied of their original features, in a deep and satisfying restructuration from which the emotion of the duo of interior designer and interior decorator shines through.
Hélène strived to create contour and colour through the careful selection of materials.
The kitchen furniture with a car paint finish, based on an idea of Hélène’s, wavy, grained sycamore, lacquered larch, velvet leather and naturally stratified stone are all elements that contribute to defining the house as a reflection of a certain French lifestyle.Light is the honoured guest of the project, the object of very careful consideration. Yet it seems to be naturally integrated into the plans, as a foundational inevitability.
Everything here was optimised to simplify everyday life. The careful and well-thought-our reorganisation of the rooms enabled each member of the family to find their own space, while circulation becomes a sine qua non.
